This is an informal beading session where you can bring your own projects or try something new and enjoy the company of other beaders. All levels are welcome.

BEGINNER'S WORKSHOP BRACELET & EARRINGS

This workshop is ideal for the complete beginner and lasts 2 hours. It introduces you to the basic tools and findings and covers the essential techniques, including making simple loops, basic stringing and finishing necklaces and bracelets.

You will then use these techniques to make this pretty bracelet and also matching butterfly earrings set to take away with you.
 

DANGLY NECKLACE

We're regularly asked for follow-up classes for beginners and those brushing up rusty skills.

This workshop will give you plenty of opportunity to practice your loops and also show you how to use crimp covers and wire-guardians to give a strong and professional looking finish to necklaces and bracelets.






NEW: FLOATING NECKLACE AND EARRINGS

This workshop will teach you the classic floating or illusion technique and you will be shown how to add the beads and finish the necklace to create a symmetrical and balanced necklace. You will be using 6 and 8mm Czech glass beads and crimpable chain to make the necklace and earrings and shown how to attach the clasp and earring findings using calottes. This technique can easily be varied by adding more strands or threading the beads randomly to create a different effect. This is an ideal follow on if you have attended the Beginners Workshop or have some basic beading knowledge.

KNOTTED PEARL WORKSHOP

This workshop will teach you hand knotting and how to use a knotting tool and you will make this graded pearl necklace using Czech glass pearls.




   
 

WIREWORK FLOWER NECKLACE

This workshop is a great introduction to this twisted wirework technique and will show you how to make this asymmetrical delicate summer necklace using 28mm frosted flowers embellished with beads and bee charms.   It's all freeform so you can make the necklace whatever shape and length you wish.

You can then use this wirework technique to make gorgeous cuffs, haircombs or a fabulous tiara!

INTRODUCTION TO COILING GIZMO - FLOWER NECKLACE

You will be shown how to use this ingenious tool to make the coils and add the 8mm crackle beads for the flower motifs which you can then link together to make this striking necklace. The wire beads are made in two colours of wire and contrasted with 8mm crystal bicones.

You will need basic beading knowledge.

 

CAGED BEADS NECKLACE

This is our version of caged wire beads with a twist!  You will learn how to twist the wire and wrap it loosely round the 12mm beads to form a "cage".  These can then be linked together to make very pretty necklaces, bracelets and earrings.
This class is suitable for those with some basic beading knowledge as it does involve the use of pliers.
 
 
 

WIREWORK FLOWER PENDANT

 You will be shown how to make a wirework framework and then bead it to create this lovely flower pendant using sparkling fire-polished beads. This technique can then be adapted to make all sorts of pendants, ornaments, decorations, mobiles etc.
 

EXPANDING BRACELETS WITH WRAPPED LOOP DANGLES

This workshop will show you how to make this set of adjustable wire bracelets which can be threaded with beads and enhanced with dangles.  You will also learn to make wrapped loops which you can then vary and use to add a decorative element to your dangles, pendants etc as well as giving added security.
You will need to have been on the Beginners Workshops or be able to make simple loops.
 
 
 

NEW: WIREWORK JUMP RING BRACELET

You will be shown how to make jump rings in different sizes using mandrels and then link them together to make this easy chain maille bracelet. This technique can then be varied to make different styles of chain for bracelets and necklaces. This workshops is designed as an introduction to wirework and making jump ring jewellery.
 

NEW: WIREWORK INFINITY LINK NECKLACE

You will make jump rings in several different sizes using mandrels and then be shown how to make the infinity shape links and the matching clasp to complete this pretty necklace. This workshops is designed as the follow-up to the jump ring bracelet workshop.
 
 
 

NEW: WIREWORK SPIRAL LINK NECKLACE

This workshop will show you how to make these pretty spiral links using a mandrel and then how to hammer them lightly to shape and harden them.  You will also learn how to make the pretty clasp.  You can then join the links to eyepins threaded with 12mm crackle beads to make this striking necklace.   This workshop is suitable for those who have some basic wirework experience.
 

NEW: CELTIC KNOT BRACELET AND EARRINGS

You will be shown how to make the 10mm jump rings using mandrels and then taught how to make these classic Celtic knots using different colours.  You will also make eyepins and the S-shaped clasp.  You will then thread the eyepins with crystal puffy rondelles and link the components together to make this pretty bracelet and earrings set.   This workshop is designed as a follow up to the jump ring jewellery class or for those who have some other basic wirework experience.
 
 

NEW: TWISTED WIREWORK NECKLACE AND EARRINGS

You will be shown how to make the lengths of wire using a wire twister and then make the large jump rings using mandrel.  You'll then link the coloured jump rings together to make this necklace. You'll also learn to make ear wires and make a matching pair of earrings.This workshop is designed as a follow up to the jump ring jewellery class or for those who have some other basic wirework experience. .
 

NEW: HAMMERED WIREWORK FLOWER PENDANT & EARRINGS

You will be shown how to form a piece of wire to make the outline of the flower pendant, hammer it to shape the petals and then wire on these 4mm Czech metallic pearls.  You'll  also be able to make a matching pair of earrings.This workshop is suitable for beginners.
   
 

HELM'S WEAVE CHAIN MAILLE AND SWAROVSKI NECKLACE

This workshop will teach you the Helm's weave or parallel weave and you will make this striking chain maille necklace using 9 and 12mm jump rings and embellished with 6mm Swarovski bicones.
 

CELTIC CHAIN MAILLE & SWAROVSKI HEARTS BRACELET & EARRINGS

This workshop is an ideal introduction to chain maille and suitable for beginners. You will learn how to make this versatile celtic chain maille bracelet with diamond motifs and Swarovski heart pendant, together with matching earrings.
   
   
   
 

SHAMBALLA BRACELETS

Shamballa bracelets are incredibly popular and you will be shown the macrame knotting techniques needed to make them.  You will then be able to make up your own bracelets using beads such as these crystal puffy rondelles and rhinestone beads. You will also be shown how these knotting techniques can  be incorporated into other designs.

Previous beading knowledge is not necessary.

 

WRAP BRACELET

These very trendy bracelets are easy to make and you can vary the length to make your bracelet as long as you want and add an adjustable fastening.  You will be shown the stitching technique to enable you to make a bracelet using a sparkling fire-polished bead mix in a choice of colours. You can then use this technique to experiment with different bead sizes and combinations to make some gorgeous bracelets.

TIARA WIREWORK 1 WORKSHOP

This tiara workshop will teach you the essential wirework techniques to make this tiara.  You will also see examples of how to vary this technique to make other jewellery.

The tiara shown here uses 6mm crystal beads and pearl oats.

This  workshop will show you how to create hair combs using round and drop pearls and how to wire stones on mounts. This technique can then be adapted to make other accessories such as brooches and tiaras.

KUMIHIMO BRACELET FOR BEGINNERS

Kumihimo braiding is an ancient Japanese art which is now very popular and can be used to make beautiful necklaces and bracelets.You will be shown how to make different patterns and make a kumihimo bracelet using rattail cord in a subtle mix of colours.

BEADED KUMIHIMO BRACELET

This workshop follows on from the basic kumihimo class and will show you how to thread beads to embellish your braided bracelet.  Once the basic beading technique has been mastered you will be able to vary the number of threads beaded, the order in which you add different coloured beads and experiment with different types of beads to create a variety of effects.

 
 

NEW: PIP BEADED KUMIHIMO BRACELET

This workshop follows on from the basic kumihimo class and will show you how to thread 5x7mmm Preciosa pip beads to embellish your braided bracelet.  We used a variety of pastel silk matt colours here to create a bright summery effect but you can create a very different look with your choice of colours.

This workshop shows you how to make beautiful beaded beads using crossweave.  Beaded  beads can then be combined with other beads to make beautiful bracelets, necklaces and earrings.

This pretty bracelet uses 6mm pearls and crystal bicones, with 4mm beads used for the earrings., together with matching earrings.

You will need basic beading knowledge.

 

BEADED BEAD NECKLACE & EARRINGS - CROSSWEAVE

This workshop shows you how to make beautiful beaded beads using crossweave and will show you various ways to put them together to make gorgeous jewellery.

You will then make this sparkling necklace using 6 and 8mm fire-polished beads and 12mm glass pearls, together with matching earrings.

You will need basic beading knowledge.

This workshop shows you how to make beautiful beaded beads using 5x3mm pinch beads and seed beads which can be put together to make gorgeous jewellery.You will be able to make this pretty bracelet and earrings set.

This elegant bracelet is made using 3x5mm pinch beads and 4mm fire-polished beads, together with Toho seed beads, and is finished with a pretty 12mm ripple bead clasp. The very popular 3-sided oval pinch beads create a lovely texture to give plenty of interest to this bracelet.
You will need some stitching experience and to be comfortable using small seed beads.
   
 
 

PEYOTE STITCH BRACELET

 This workshop will introduce you to peyote stitch, which is a very versatile stitch and you will be shown how to make this pretty bracelet using seed beads.  This technique uses small beads and you will need some manual dexterity and some beading experience.

TUBULAR PEYOTE STITCH BRACELET

This workshop follows on from the introductory peyote stitch workshop. You will learn how to make a peyote tube and create this beautiful spiral design using size 8/0 seed beads in three colours.

 

 

RIGHT-ANGLE WEAVE BRACELET

This workshop will teach you the right-angle weave technique which is a versatile stitch and a good introduction to bead-weaving. You will be then be shown how to make this pretty bracelet using Czech fire-polished beads, crystal bicones and seed beads. Try adding more rows to make a lovely cuff.

You will need to have some basic beading knowledge or experience of stitching with small beads.

RIGHT-ANGLE WEAVE TUBE NECKLACE

This workshop is based on the right-angle weave technique which is a versatile stitch. You will be taught how to stitch these woven tubes to make this pretty bracelet using Czech crystal bicones, crystal puffy rondelles and seed beads threaded onto leather cord.

You will need to have some experience of stitching with small beads or to have been to the right-angle weave bracelet workshop


   
 

HERRINGBONE STITCH BRACELET

The workshop will introduce you to this classic stitch which is also known as Ndebele herringbone after the South African tribe that created it. You will be shown how to make a bracelet using Czech seed beads.

This stitching class is suitable for beginners who do not have previous stitching or jewellery making experience.
 

FRENCH BEADED WIRE FLOWERS

Learn how to make these flowers and leaves using Czech seed beads to make a striking necklace.  They also look great worn as a brooch or hair ornament.

This workshop is suitable for beginners but involves using small beads.

 
 
   
 

WOVEN SEED BEAD RINGS

You will be shown how to make two designs using twin and solo beads and will then be able to use these techniques to make your own vatiations for rings or to build on these designs to create beatiful seed bead bracelet.s

This workshop involves working with small beads - twin and solo beads are 2.5x5mm.
 

DELICA AND SOLO BEAD RING

This workshop will show you how to create a ring using a sieve ring base.  This design uses small Miyuki delicas and Preciosa solo beads which are 2.5x5mm.
This design involves stitching with small beads so would suit those with some bead-weaving experience or knowledge of working with small beads.


   
 

SUPERDUOS & PRECIOSA PELLETS NECKLACE & EARRINGS

This lovely set is made using our Czech 2.5x5mm superduos from Matubo and 4x6mm pellets from Preciosa.

It does use small beadsI  but is easy to make and suitable as a beginner's weaving class.


 

PRECIOSA PELLETS & SEED BEAD BRACELET & EARRINGS

the new 4x6mm pellets are stitched together to make the diamonds and finished with a delicate picot edging.  These lozenge shapes can then be linked together to create some gorgeous jewellery.

This workshop makes a great follow on from the pellet and twin seed bead necklace or is suitable if you have stitching experience and have worked with small beads.
   
 

PRECIOSA PELLETS INTERLOCKING BRACELET

the new 4x6mm pellets can be stitched together to make a lovely interlocking effect. Once you have mastered this skill you can add additional rows to make a wider cuff or use a variety of colours to create different designs.

This is an intermediate level workshop which  involves using small beads.You will need a reasonable level of stitching or bead-weaving experience.
 

DAISY CHAIN BRACELET

You will learn how to do this classic stitch and how to make your own loop and bead toggle to make this pretty bracelet. This stitch can also be used to make a beautiful necklace.

This workshop is suitable for beginners but involves using small beads.
   
 

HUGS AND KISSES BRACELET

This workshop will show you how to make this pretty bracelet using right angle weave and netting to create the hugs and kisses effect.   It's easier than you might think and gives a lovely result.  We used 6mm Czech glass pearls, 4mm fire-polished beads and 10/0 Czech seed beads but you can then vary the size of the bead combinations to create different effects.
This class is suitable for those with some beading experience - it involves using some small beads and stitching.
 

FLAT SPIRAL BRACELET

This workshop will show you how to use flat spiral technique to make a gorgeous bracelet.  You can then use this technique with different sizes and types of bead to create a variety of looks.   This  class is suitable for those with basic beading experienc - it does involve using small beads.
   
 

RIGHT ANGLE WEAVE NECKLACE

This workshop will show you how to create a gentle curve with right-angle weave and finish the necklace ends for this pretty necklace.  You will be using using 6mm and 8mm Czech fire-polished beads and 10/0 Czech seed beads.  This class is a good follow-on from the Beginners Workshop or suitable for those with some basic beading experience.
 

RUSSIAN SPIRAL BRACELET

You will learn how to create a Russian spiral and make this pretty bracelet using Czech seed beads and bugles. You can then vary this technique using different sizes and shapes of beads such as large pearls to create some really interesting effects. This intermediate level class is suitable for those with bead stitching experience or if you have been on a class such as the peyote bracelets.
   
 

BEVELLED SWAROVSKI PENDANT

This workshop will show you how to stitch the surround for this 27mm Swarovski fancy stone using Miyuki delicas and 8/0 Czech rocailles.  The technique is based on right-angle weave and can be adapted to fit any size round centrepiece.  This is an intermediate level workshop using small beads and bead-stitching experience is necessary.
 

SWAROVSKI CROSSWEAVE EARRINGS

This workshop is a good introduction to the art of weaving. You will be taught this easy but very useful two-strand technique and make these elegant earrings using 4, 6 and 8mm Swarovski bicones and 10/0 seed beads.  You will also be shown how to finish it neatly using wire guardians. Suitable for participants who have been on the Beginners Workshop or who have a basic knowledge of making jewellery.

This workshop will show you how to stitch the surrounds and link together these Swarovski 18mm crystal rivoli pendant edged with 6mm CzechMates brick beads and 6mm Kheops par Puca beads and seed beads.

This workshop will show you how to stitch the surrounds and link together these 14mm Swarovski fancy stone using Toho seed beads to make this sparkling bracelet. This is a good introduction to using Swarovski rivolis in jewellery making and is suitable if you have some stitching experience and are comfortable using small beads.

This project uses size 6/0 and size 8/0 Matubo seed beads with 4mm Miyuki Japanese squares. It is suitable for a beginner with some stitching experience, ie comfortable using a needle and thread. You do not need specific beading experience but you need to be used to using small beads in some crafting capacity.

 

NEW: MATUBO SEED BEAD TWISTED TUBULAR HERRINGBONE BRACELET

This project uses size 8/0 Matubo seed beads in 3 shades.  It is suitable for those with some bead-weaving experience as it involves stitching and using small beads.

   

NEW: FIRE-POLISH NETTED NECKLACE AND EARRINGS

This pretty necklace shows off the lovely 3 and 6mm pastel and 4 and 6mm tweedy fire-polished beads which are linked with 11/0 Toho beads. 2-hole 6mm CzechMates bars are combined with 3 and 4mm fire-polished beads and Tohos to link the main section of the necklace with a pretty beaded strand. You will also make a pretty pair of earrings to complete the set. You will need some stitching experience and to be comfortable using small seed beads.
 

LADDER STITCH BRACELET WITH RIPPLE BEADS

You will be shown how to create the ladder effect for the bracelet using 6mm fire-polished beads and 10/0 seed beadsand then how to add the 12mm ripple beads studs.
It is suitable for a beginner with some stitching experience, ie comfortable using a needle and thread.
   
 

RIPPLE STAR FLOWER NECKLACE

You will be shown how to make the flowers using 12mm Preciosa ripple beads with star formed with 10/0 Czech rocailles, backed with 8/0 rocailles and 4mm fire-polished beads.  This is an intermediate level workshop and requires some stitching experience and that you are comfortable using small beads.

This workshop will teach you how to make this lovely pendant using 12mm shiny and matt ripple beads and embellish it with 10/0 seed beads and 2.5x5mm superduo beads.

This project uses 5x2.5mm superduo beads with size 10/0 seed beads.

This project uses 5x2.5mm superduo beads with size 10/0 seed beads.  The workshop will teach you how to make these pretty diamond shape motifs using 2.5x5mm superduos and 8/0 and 10/0 seed beads.  You can link them together to make a bracelet or use the motifs individually to make a pair of earrings and a pendant.

This workshop shows you how to make this delicate bracelet using Swarovski chaton rose montees with 6mm CzechMates quadratiles and Toho seed beads. Chaton roses are Swarovski flatback stones secured in a small metal mount - the mount has 2 channels underneath so that it can be attached to material or, in this case, another bead.
You will need some stitching experience and also to be comfortable using small beads as this workshops requires some manual dexterity.

This workshop will show you how to create these pretty clover shapes and join them together to make this necklace.  The shapes can be assembled in various ways to make different designs for necklaces or bracelets.  Czech 5x7mm pip beads, 5x2.5mm twin beads and size10/0 seed beads are used here.
